right, we all know that, but rather than generalizations, people generally ask, or make threads, to hear personal experiences and thoughts from other members.Retirement changes the daily routine quite a bit, shaving habits being just one small part of that adjustment.
Back when I was a shaver, I also used electric shavers with Norelco being what I used for years before switching to a Braun and before I transitioned to a full beard. None of them were as close as shaving with a blade but for whatever reason, shaving with a blade caused my skin to break out. Back during my goatee days I finally found a shaving lotion that didn't break me out and gave me a closer shave. Still available, so when I shaved my beard off earlier this year I used it and still no breakouts. However, it's still shaving and still more work than I wanted, even though I was only doing it every other day before I decided to grow the beard back.I've always used a plug-in electric, self-sharpening floating head rotatory (Norelco, originally, but a copy when the patent ran out). Takes just a few seconds every day.
Interesting - I didn't take that comment as a negative for creating this thread and poll...right, we all know that, but rather than generalizations, people generally ask, or make threads, to hear personal experiences and thoughts from other members.
My brother shaved our father in his hospital bed 2 days before he passed.I have shaved every morning for as far back as I remember (more than 55 years) (now with a Panasonic Arc 4). Used to be before I went off to work. Now its after I come home from a morning workout at the gym. Never had a moustache or beard. Dad never had one nor my three brothers.
I recall seeing a nurse shave my Dad in the hospital in his final days. Maybe I'll finish that way.
