Terry "Superlungs" Reid died in early August. According to rock n roll lore, Jimmy Page wanted Reid to be the vocalist for Led Zeppelin, but he was committed to open for The Rolling Stones on their tour. Instead he recommended Robert Plant for the job.
Reid and Graham Nash became close friends when Nash was still with The Hollies. In 1976 Nash produced Reid's album "Seed of Memory" just as his label, ABC, was sinking into bankruptcy. Here's a sample.
