Price gouging for garbage/recycle pick up

All previous payments were paid by Postal mail with a paper check.
When they called and announced the $762 credit and the $65 balance, I wanted to get it paid on that phone call. So that went on a card. So the person who took the payment was ,for sure, knowledgeable of the updated credit and balance.

In the end we got the best result we could hope for
Republic Services
It's possible that after only one or 2 calls the rate would have been reduced, if I had the patience to wait 3 months for the next bill, but I wasn't seeing anything printed on screen or on paper to acknowledge what they were saying over the phone. It took a bunch of calling an bitching before I got the final result with the credit for most of the current bill, with printable conformation.

A bill has arrived in the mail. Seems like we shouldn't have been billed till January. It's actually a invoice itemizing the line by line credits for that last $827 bill, showing a balance due of Zero. Kinda what they agreed to do but it took them a month to mail this detailed conformation.
