Hoping someone can help answer this hopefully simple question. In early December of last year my wife and I had our Raymond James brokerage account placed into the name of our Revocable Family Trust just like all our other accounts. Well, today our "2025 Composite Statement of 1099's" finally arrived and it came in two separate documents, one for 11 months under our old joint account name and a second one for the one month our account was under the new Trust name. Both use my Social Security number as the tax ID number but each has a different account number and document ID number.

When I do my taxes with Turbo Tax now and electronically import the information from Raymond James will it automatically combine the two different documents into one or will I have to list it as two different accounts and download it twice? I'm guessing it needs to be treated as two different accounts/documents but was curious to hear what others think.

Thanks

I use TT and it will definitely require both documents to be uploaded and treated as separate accounts. They should not be combined.

Make sure the upload is complete. TT missed several transactions when I uploaded. Big PITA to have to enter by hand.

We did the same last year. Received two separate 1099s because we had to open a new account for the revocable trust and migrate our assets to that account.
