Retired Ten Years Today

There is still two guys left late 60's both of them still slaving a way. We all started about the same time and worked together all those years.

Congrats!
I don't know if I should feel sorry for the guys I left behind (only 4 years ago) or laugh at them. I think about this from time to time. I told all of them for DECADES what I was doing and why I was doing it. I have a feeling they would trade all the new trucks, nights out on the town, etc for the simple life we had and early retirement. One of the guys who left with me (at 65 instead of 55 like I did) died two three years later. That is so sad...

I also think about the ones I know still working in mid to late 60's. I know they could retire yesterday, with what they have or what they will get when they retire. I hope their plan works for them but I made sure I was going to have enough time for ME before the end point.
