Dash Crofts from Seals & Crofts died. 87 years old from heart failure.

Musician Dash Crofts, one half of the soft rock duo Seals & Crofts, has died. He was 87.

Crofts died of heart failure on Wednesday, March 25, his family confirmed to USA TODAY in a statement on Thursday.

"With sorrow and gratitude, we mourn a man whose loving-kindness, remarkable compassion, beautiful and tender voice has uplifted so many hearts across the globe," the statement read.

"We extend our gratitude and appreciation for the outpouring of love and support that we have received from around the world, and we celebrate and honor his legacy of service to mankind."

Seals & Crofts were (are) absolute favorite artists. I grew up with their songs creating my life as I went along. "We May Never Pass This Way Again" is still a significant message in my life.....more than 50 years later. I am in awe of their influence exactly when I needed it.

Seals & Crofts were (are) absolute favorite artists. I grew up with their songs creating my life as I went along. "We May Never Pass This Way Again" is still a significant message in my life.....more than 50 years later. I am in awe of their influence exactly when I needed it.

I remember as a teen listening to this song about with the message of carpe diem before I even knew what that meant. Good stuff!
