Nice photos and congrats on biking all the way up the mountain at Moran State Park. Your journal reminds me of how much I love visiting the San Juan islands. 
Next summer I want to be able to spend a few weeks and sail up to Orcas and some of the neighboring islands that I haven't been able to see yet (since the ferry only hits the main islands).
