Show off your dog..or other pet..and how well he/she is treated (and fed)!

Sorry to hear of the losses of your friends. My last dog that passed from very bad bladder cancer (I had to have him put down) shortly after my wife died in 2022 was a rough coat Jack and he was The Best!

So sorry @skyking1 for your loss. You are honoring your wife's friend and I know you will give Pinky a wonderful home and lots of love.

Here's Pinky. David takes very good dog portraits.

Pinky looks like a very sweet little pup.

@skyking1

What a little sweetie. How is she doing with your canine pack?
Not bad at all. Peanut has issues with most dogs, he growls a lot. It seems to be his Love Language :)

They have had just a few moments and seem to be settling in OK. She was in large pack before and that helps.
Russer the old man went totally crazy for 20 minutes when she came home. He was tearing around the yard running here and there and being a complete idiot. He slept well that night :D
She watches TV and fetches. She's a jack and would like to chase cats and squirrels, and needs leash training.

She looks like a little baby deer. So delicate. But chihuahuas can be a handful. They think they are so big and so tough and the boss of everything and everyone. You're in for an adventure with her ;)
We're trying to teach her to "come". Argh, she is fine as long as we have treats in our hands but today when I really needed her to come (she was stuck upstairs and can't figure out how to come down the stairs) she absolutely refused. I tried to coax he to me for about 3 hours, on and off, before I finally got her.
Our last chihuahua was so much easier.

Sadly, the 15 yr old rescue cat I posted about in the spring only made it 3 months with me, before a tumor took the will to eat from him, even with a stimulant. I found a vet who does house calls, mostly to put pets down in a very empathetic way. I just hate that he didn't have longer to enjoy a life of leisure.

A couple months later, I was asked to foster a 5 yr old feral cat for about 6 weeks. Oh yeah, when they brought it over, it'd be great if you bonded and kept him. I guess I had sucker written on my forehead. Kept him in a borrowed 3 level condo cage for a couple weeks, and felt awful for him and also fearful of getting scratched or bitten, both of which happened. Then he started mellowing, and started rubbing his head on me as thanks for food. It's not yet 2 full months and we have totally bonded. He may never be the Best Cat Ever as Wrigley and Pepper were in their times, but he's a contender.

Glad to hear of the success with the feral cat. That bonding is hard to do with one.
The people who have been doing this for years are pretty surprised and happy to hear this too. I've had some issues which kept me home a lot the last two months and I spent most of the time in my bedroom with him. Even sitting next to the cage helped, I'm sure.

Maybe he was someone's pet before he got loose or was let go. I had actually seen him on my ring camera crossing my driveway last December and posted the video asking if anyone was missing him. No chip, and he has not been neutered (until he was trapped), so maybe not

As the lady at the cat sanctuary that I go to so I can help... it is not a feral cat... just one without a home...

A feral one will not become tame... we had a feral as an outside cat and it mostly stayed in our yard but never would let anybody get near it or pet it...

We now have another and she was wanting to be petted within a week and now is almost insisting on it anytime we go outside...

Kimchi is our Daughter's dog, but we puppy-sit when DD has a business trip or weekend getaway. She worries that we spoil the doggo so please don't let her see these pictures :).

Breakfast at our house, with espresso, soft boiled egg, ham & toast. The most important meal of the day!

As the sun sinks in the west we see Bad Dog emerge. Notice the beer & a bump, and the unhealthy snack foods. Also, I am suspicious of the royal flush as she's been known to cheat!

LOL! Great photos! I'll have to keep my laptop away from my dog so he doesn't stumble across these pictures and want the same privileges as his cousin Kimchi.

One of my recent adoptees, Noah, does not care for it when I surf the net, and he expresses his disapproval as shown in the photo. He feels (quite rightly) that all of my time would be much better spent paying attention to him. 😹
