Any small business owners out there with employees? If health insurance premiums for older workers are significantly more expensive than for someone in their 20s or 30s, aren't the odds stacked against the older workers getting offers?

A lot of small businesses don't offer health insurance benefits to any employees. I forget the size limitations, but it's not required to offer health insurance if you're small.

Our previous small business never offered actual health insurance. We did help with one of those "so much a week if you are off w*rk" plans. Most of our empl*yees were spouses with healthcare benefits or retirees with MC.

A lot of the positions I'm looking at advertise benefits. These companies look like less than 50 people. Maybe they are high deductible plans that require large contributions.

Mostly small businesses would use the ACA vs. typical employer-sponsored plans. That would not subject them to age issues IIRC.
