So disappointed with my Honda experience

DW just came home with a check engine on the Toyota. Only has 104k miles. Oh the humanity! A Toyota having an issue! </sarc>

Fortunately, it was an easy fix. The coil-on-plug of cyl 3 failed. It was an easy fix, although the genuine Toyota-Denso part was ridiculous ($150). All after market versions are $50 or less, but of questionable quality. And, I saw a so-called Denso being sold somewhere that looked counterfeit. Parts are still a problem!

We had a 97 Camry XLE.

240K trouble free miles before we gave it to our son.

Met a Toyota VP at a dealership event.

He told us that the 97 Camry XLE was the last NA Camry model to be made in Japan...and the XLEs came off the Lexus assembly line (that surprised me). Same as Lexus, down to the increase in insulation over other Camry models that year.

Looks like the 2006 Accord EX is on well on it's way to providing a similar service life.
