Getting ready to call SS to find out how to get access to my online account's activation code to retrieve my SS1099. I apparently lost it. Before I call I thought I might ask the group if anyone else has had the same issue.

Do you mean the 8 digit security code that they email you when you try to sign in? I just did this recently and the code was emailed to me within seconds of logging in. It's a standard 2FA process, no need to call them.
Interesting.. I never received an email..I'll check the spam folder. I did just get off the phone with them. Very helpful. To get the 8 number code, I had to change my password and login. It was texted to me and I got quick access.
