The SP500 was up 9.80% for the first 1/2 of 2026.

Just over half of the mutual funds and ETF's I own performed at least 10% better. I don't think that's happened before!

The list of these outperforming funds, NAV and YTD performance:

I'm 90% stocks, and YTD up 15.4% which is great, but I really need to consider reducing stocks. Every time I do a little rebalancing to fixed income side, the stocks go up and I am back at higher stock allocation. It's nice, but I wonder how long the ride will last?

Our portfolio has consistently outperformed S&P 500 since we started tracking in 2022 when we took back management of our investments.

If I may ask, what has given you a 15+% return?

My portfolio is much less than 90% stocks and (of course) it has limited my overall % portfolio yield.

I agree that it might be a good time to reduce stocks though I'm no expert on the subject. Congrats on your great results.

I just completed my quarterly update and I am speechless. Somehow I managed to match the SP500 performance with a 70% equity allocation. I tend to get tunnel vision focusing on the total and % change. Looking at $ change is what makes me speechless. I was down at the end of Q1. Fidelity ruined the analysis tools on their website so it was extremely frustrating to figure out how to edit external accounts.

My Equity Income Fund is up 14.1% ytd while my S&P Index fund is "only" up ~10%. Go figure.

7.1% ytd on 75/25.

Nothing that special or any individual stock that was a huge gainer. Mostly 88% domestic, and wide diversified funds (FZROX, FNCMX, FDGRX, FELV, FZIPX, FAGIX, SPY) and a bit of some leveraged 3x funds (UPRO, TQQQ). I have one individual stock that has done well (ET). I recently sold several individual stocks that were not doing so good, to try and rebalance some by buying some more of the CEFs. But stocks keep going up.....

My current asset allocation is 51/49 and I'm up 10.1% YTD.

I'm going to trim my SP500 fund FXAIX and buy one or more of the funds listed in my first post.

Up 11.6% for the year. My allocation has been all over the board this year as I've been tinkering.

Just multiplying my stash by my increase (over 10%) I think I can live on that! Now, if the gains can hold, I'm gonna have to pull a BTD!

The Russell 2000 is up much more than the S&P 500 so far this year, so that is resulting in an overall higher return for me than the S&P 500 so far this year. But, if I compare the last five years, it's not even close and the return on my S&P 500 index fund has been soooo much better than my return on the small cap fund.

FSSNX I listed above is the small cap index fund - up 22.61% YTD. The only fund that did better was FSELX Semiconductors up 80.07%

Sounds like what I learned here a long time ago.

Diversify!
