Is anyone here using GM Supercruise?
Just wondering if GM is as good as or possibly better than FSD?

Not even close, though you might think so if you only watch their ads.

Supercruise works well but only on "compatible roads" - major and minor highways (just expanded up to 750K miles now), you can't use it on city streets or anywhere off highway. Tesla FSD works almost anywhere, there are even recent examples of construction sites where a Tesla navigates a construction zone that takes the car on unpaved roads guided only by traffic cones for a stretch. GM has been talking about Ultracruise since 2021 as their answer to Tesla FSD, still waiting…

Tesla FSD works beautifully on highways, that's much easier than elsewhere.

The Mercedes and Ford "self driving" features are even less capable than GM Supercruise, basically only on select highways. Mercedes is the only one claiming Level 3 (the others claim Level 2, even though they’re arguably more capable) but that's a total joke - "it's available only on mapped highways and during daylight when there is no rain or snow and the traffic is below 40 mph." Who drives at 40 mph on a highway? There's a recent Mercedes commercial showing a guy using hands free driving, misleading to say the least. GM, Ford and Mercedes are trying to impress the public with their “technology,” knowing most people won't look into the substantial limitations.
