When we visited our son when he worked near St Cloud, the whole week was -4, snowy, but the sun was out all day. It was cold but beautiful!-5F here in sunny MN.![]()
Yikes! I can’t imagine. Was shoveling a bit of snow to get to our new sauna last night.Current temp here is 92F. Had to turn on the AC.![]()
We've had the same here. Next Tuesday we're supposed to get 2"-4" of snow, and I have a Dr. appt. about 25 miles away followed by a trip to a MD pharmacy to pick up a prescription, then home. I'm hoping they'll call and reschedule the Dr. appt. and then I can wait a day for things to clear a bit before I have to pick up the prescription.
Normally I wouldn't be all that concerned about it but about 20 of those miles are on I-81 and it only takes one idiot to block the whole road and then everyone's trapped for maybe hours. I hate that and often go to great lengths to avoid placing myself in a position where that can happen. I might take the long slow route and avoid the interstate for that reason.
I really enjoyed the first season of FARGO (the TV series). I recall several (probably) drone shots of a small town. What I recall is that EVERY chimney had steam rising from it. The implication to me was that it was so cold that every furnace in town was running constantly. I never want to live that reality again but I admire your ability to take the cold in stride. It was -24F actual on my short drive to work today. No wind. -28F tonight is expected.
I'm hoping we hit -30F. That sounds colder.![]()
Here's a drone shot to revive your memory. This is a few years ago, but it will look about the same in a few hours.I really enjoyed the first season of FARGO (the TV series).
