Interesting short article covering information that we already know. Keep it simple. Stay the course. Ignore the noise.

Over time, capital markets have rewarded investors who have taken a long-term perspective and remained disciplined in the face of short-term noise. By focusing on the things they can control (like having an appropriate asset allocation, diversification, and managing expenses, turnover, and taxes) investors can better position themselves to make the most of what capital markets have to offer.

Over time being the operative word there. If I were in my 30's, yeah I'd just stay the course and keep on keeping on. However, with the market at record levels, the risk of a significant correction and destruction of capital tilts the scales towards being much more conservative. I'm 40% cash.
