After considering the latest policy developments and reviewing past discussions both here and in other internet venues, the moderator team has concluded that cryptocurrencies, stablecoins and digital tokens are not appropriate topics for discussion at ER Forum. Much like partisan politics, the interactions are heated and condescending, based on beliefs and not facts, divisive and disrespectful, and create an environment that is hostile and uncivil. These attributes are all contrary to the goal of ER Forum, which is to share and enjoy polite, friendly and thoughtful personal interaction and exchange of ideas.
The moderator team regularly revisits the list of topics that are discouraged, so this may change in the future, but it is not dependent on any change in policy by political, regulatory or monetary authorities.
Noncompliance with this policy will be treated in similar fashion to partisan political posts.
