I have had my share of issues with Vanguard. I voted with my feet and transferred accounts to Fido. Then, I systematically began selling VG funds and moving those $ to other similar mutual funds / etfs from other suppliers. Mostly in retirement accounts to avoid capturing gains and paying the taxes.

I got a chuckle yesterday when I received an email with the following:
"Surveyed digital advice users report a 77% satisfaction rate with the service they are using. See more benefits of Vanguard Digital Advisor and consider joining us today!"

I don't understand how anyone could think that a 77% satisfaction rate was a good thing.
23 out of 100 customers, nearly 1 in 4, cannot say they are satisfied in an anonymous survey.

Maybe 77 is the new 90+?

I am not familiar with their digital advisor but will admit that I am not tempted to use it.

I did find that I was able to transfer ETFs to Schwab and Fido without issue, and was also able to transfer two of my Vanguard MM funds to Fido (the income was a little higher than comparable Fido funds) without issue and leave it set on reinvest without cost (although I cannot say that I could buy it there / or buy it commission free).

I'm satisfied (though not thrilled) with Vanguard but have never been tempted to use Digital Advisor. Maybe it's great, but I don't feel like I need it but YMMV.

I have a friend who uses Vanguard. Her cognition is slipping so am considering Vanguard's investment advisor. Thoughts... [She may need a conservator before the year is out.]
