I'm trying to imagine the sheer probability of getting a 5 (which has happened only once to me), let alone every few months.

I'm trying to imagine the sheer probability of getting a 5 (which has happened only once to me), let alone every few months.

I just checked. In toto, I have had 8 fives out of 684 plays. I think the first one or two I had was when my starter word matched, and I was able to get the other four in the normal fashion. Then I had a couple where the vertical words had repeated letters, so I could complete one of the words while also completing another. The last few have been by using the "trick" we were discussing recently. For today's, I had 3 words completed with four guesses. But I could construct a word that filled in the missing letters for BOTH of the remaining words. (I could send the words by PM if you want.)
