Recycles dryer sheets
Most of us have the usual phone – wallet – keys that are with us every day, but what other items do you always want to have with you?
I’ve always been into multitools and have a whole drawer full of different ones, ranging from an expensive Leatherman to a give away from a long ago trade show. What I always have with me is this:
The little flashlight is an LED that recharges by a regular USB “C” cable. My aging eyesight really needs the extra light when I’m trying to focus on a small item or peer into a tight space.
The small pliers have large Philips and flat blade screwdrivers, and can work as a small clamp for holding a work piece in place. It’s great for grabbing small parts and getting a grip on slippery items.
The carabiner holds the light & pliers, and clips on a belt loop. It has a small blade and very small Philips / flat blade screwdriver bit. The blade is a disposable #11 scalpel. Very sharp, and easily replaceable if it gets dull or broken, or if I take it through airport security – just toss the blade & it's a TSA approved item. I can get a replacement blade at my destination.
I find that I use these almost every day, and when I don’t have them is when I need one the most.
What do you EDC?
