What did you do today 2025

Kids will be coming over later for Fathers Day with DH.
Finally planted my Mothers Day flowers into my garden pots., better late than never!

Renewed DD's porch swing with a color to match the remodeled home.

My wife's doctor changed her drugs, since they're not working too well anymore. Just for grins, I looked up the list prices. Her current stuff runs about $15K a month, and the new ones will be right around $50K a month. We pay very little, but it boggles my mind what someone without good health insurance would do.

I mowed my neighbor's lawn this morning. They have been on a Viking river cruise in Europe for the last two weeks and will be home in 2 days. This was my second mow, since the grass has been growing really fast. When we go up to Maine this Saturday for two weeks, he will mow my lawn. As I have mentioned before, it's a great neighborhood.

I also went out to my garden and pulled up the spinach, which is just on the edge of bolting, so we'll have lots of spinach salad over the course of this week. My peas have started to mature in the past week. We are picking them when they are ready and saving them to take to the cabin in Maine.

Working on finishing touches on deck from 9am-2pm then did a 37 mile bike ride. At least 6 construction detours have really goofed up my normal route and forced me to ride in some traffic. HATE THAT. Going to mom's tomorrow to power wash her driveway and help set up for her annual garage sale. I have stopped sending all our "don't wants" to charity and now onto her sale. She loves it. Will finish deck Wednesday weather permitting. First real use of inherited table and compound miter saw from father in law. Love making straight/square cuts. My favorite thing today. A double dip on that thread.

GO PACERS, Really tough game tonight...

Shuffleboard match...won 2 of 3.
Cleaned up my garage.
Also, designed and got my supply list for a poolside table that I will build this summer.

I just got through cutting the grass and edging the driveway and planters. It's 90 F and 79% humidity outside. I am soaked through and through. I was going to go for a mile walk but I may not given it's so tough out there. Maybe I'll go to the Y instead.

That’s the difference of living in Colorado. It’s going to be 90+ here today, but about 10% humidity. It actually feels rather pleasant.

Heading over to my sisters house for another "sleep over" :) . Her daughter is out of town again. She has never done well by herself, but is especially having difficulty since her DH passed in April.

My two brothers are also coming and we are going to review all of our parents old slides and decide if we want to keep any. Last parent died in 2015 and the slides have been sitting at my brothers house since then. He has 18 reels of slides, I think they hold 50-100 each:oops:.
We think most of them are from their travels and only a few from Family Reunions, so hopefully it goes quickly! But it will be fun.

Actually Sun and Mon. Two different Tango classes. Both were a pleasure to attend.

Gate builder came this morning and installed my gate. No more mule deer in the backyard now, as this was the last point of entry.

Weight workout with sets between 3 minute walk segments on treadmill, for 54 minutes. Treadmill was jolting a little, with a grinding noise. 12.5 years old. I'll test on a run tomorrow. May need to BTD for a new one. My guess is that dr bills if I fall off my current jolting treadmill would be more $ than the cost of a new one.

ETA - and picked up DW's new pedestal sink. Next pick out a new faucet.

Was last friday, but I only got back late Sunday on on the computer today...
Watched the San Jose Earthquakes tie the Portland Timbers in Portland with my kids. It's been a long time since I watched an away match that the Quakes didn't lose. I forgot how great it was to sit/stand with the away supporters and watch/cheer for the Quakes. (11/10)
Also saw the Shasta Caverns (9/10), Jelly Belly Museum/Tour (8/10), Mount Saint Helens (5/10) [might have been better if it wasn't cloudy] and drove 10 hours from Portland from San Jose, CA (4/10)
