What did you do today 2026

I just wanted to post somewhere here so people wouldn't think I fell off the end of the earth- I am, after all, in Patagonia! Spectacularly beautiful place and we've been blessed with good weather. Having a great time.

I had to Google where Patagonia was.

It came up as an outdoor clothing retailer.

So I looked it up on Wikipedia and learned where it really was.

Happy for you that you're enjoying your vacation.

Welcome to the Town of Patagonia, Arizona

Situated at over 4,000 feet of elevation between the Santa Rita and Patagonia Mountains in the riparian corridor of Sonoita Creek, the Town of Patagonia is a vibrant rural community known for its natural beauty, outdoor recreation, and rich cultural history.

I was hit by a car in the local grocery store parking lot. Nothing broken, just a bruised forearm. Someone in such a rush to get to an open space he cut through the unused handicapped spaces from the adjoining lane and ran right into me. I think his car had a braking assist that helped. His side mirror may have been damaged. If so, he got off easy.

That is great!!! Thanks for checking in and looking forward to an update once you get home.

That is to bad!! It could have been a lot worse so thankful for that.

Went hiking early got home late afternoon. A beautiful day but can't run up and down like I use too. Lol Short hiking day but more hiking days is what it takes now. A picture when I stopped for a break had 6 total horns for the day.

Went for a hike with the local group, a little over 7 miles on The Whiskey Flats Trail. Despite the name it is mostly up and down up and down, a bit of rock scrambling and 2 creek crossings stepping on rocks to get across. Nice day but I'm kind of tired and not used to that much hiking. Nice day though.

The bridge. We don't need no stinking safety railings.

Well..yesterday and today...stripped sod, moved about 8 ton of rock with a little 4 cu ft garden wagon to create
a drainage path on the side yard. Me, wife and 1 kid actually. Including the garden wagon purchase, this project cost about $450.

Highly recommend the little Gorilla Garden wagon if you dont have one.

I like that COcheesehead!!! Lol

Nearing the end of our week in Sarasota. Attended niece's wedding. DW tending to her brother with Stage 4 Cancer. DD and I sitting here doing her wedding planning. I will divert on the way home to spend a few days in Vogal State park. Home in time for Easter. I have paid no attention to markets. Has not helped my net worth much but has not been on my mind.

Youngest DGS (6) is coming over today and will spend the night.
It is sunny today, so we will probably go to the park to play.

Dear wife is on her annual Mexico City spa week with her group of girlfriends.

We were texting last night and she asked if I needed anything from the pharmacy while she is there. Nope. I’m good, but wondering what she is picking up:confused: 🤔

I reminded her to declare any purchase when she comes back across the border.

Set up a new cell phone, replaced my Galaxy 10e. It was a real hassle. Not sure which I dislike more... shopping for a new car or buying a new phone.

Got the Trustee to sign a Trust tax return (1041), got it to the Attorney and will send it Certified on Wednesday.
THEN the same trustee is ALSO a simple tax client and got her information and prepared her return
Also while out picked up an Rx.

All in all, a productive day.

TOMORROW DW "Molly" goes in for her colonoscopy. We have to be there @ 6:30 AM - which I PERSONALLY believe violates at leas TWO constitutional amendments. Fun times.

(Before I retired I had to be at the desk @ 6:00 west coast time so that we were ready when the markets opened. I was 35-40 minutes from w*rk via a van pool (5:20 pickup), PLUS another 15-18 minutes from our home in the country to the van pick up spot. So I got up @ 4:15 AM. WHICH meant that staying up much past 9:00 was a late evening.) <-Rant off. THANK GOD those days are LONG over.

NOW, my goal is to be up at the crack of noon.
