I went to the store to order a new TV, a 55” OLED. Small compared with what others have but it fits nicely. They will deliver on Saturday and they even took 20% off the online price.

The only TV in our house is the 32" Samsung we bought back in 2010 when we moved into our new-to-us 1910 home. It still works just fine, plus it has the proper RCA-style connectors for our VCR/DVD player and our Wii, as well as an HDMI port for the Amazon Fire Stick.

DW would like to upgrade to a 44" - 48"-ish model, but she's not a fan of Smart-TVs, and we still watch DVDs once in a while. And she refuses to buy a new TV while the old one still works just fine. I bought us the Samsung for this house while we still lived in our old house, but we had bought this place and were fixing it up while waiting for the old place to sell. When we sold the old place and moved, our old CRT TV was sold in the rummage sale.

Being in Cincinnati I can help you out. The chili is a no bean meat sauce. It's not Texas style seasoned. I've heard Lebanese immigrants brought the recipes. A 5-way is: chili over spaghetti, with diced onions and whole beans, then lots of grated mild cheddar cheese on top. Hence 5 ingredients. The minimum is a 3 way: chili spaghetti and cheese.

Well, according to most, it was actually Greek immigrants who started it. When I married a woman from the Cincinnati area and came to live here, I thought it was really weird. My prior experience had been mainly with Tex-Mex chili but I soon came to realize that it's not only enjoyable but actually somewhat addictive. I know several people here in the Cincinnati area who simply must have their Cincinnati chili fix at least every week.

There are other unusual but very popular foods around here, like goetta (pork sausage with oats and spices).

Always fun to read how my friends spend their time.

A mixture of yesterday and today but spent time helping lay some irrigation pipe out in some ag fields to start irrigating. Got my SD Cards and have a lot of velvet pictures and a few cow elk on the place.

Neighbor is installing a new fence and asked if I wanted of the old cedar 1x6x.5 plank. I did so I took off about 100 pieces. Temp highs been 60's to low 70's and 40's ovah night lows. Weather has been great.

Mowed and biked some in between times. Granddaughter will be with us tomorrow mom and dad are out of town and scheduled events with work related things.

Finished my weed whacking for the year this morning. Now enjoying my cup of coffee on the deck with Tink.

I did some much needed hedge trimming. The monster in question runs about 60 feet and the top is between 7 and 9 feet above the driveway. I've got a gasoline powered hedge trimmer (think weed whacker with an added two feet of hedge trimmer on the end). Holding that thing above my head about did me in. I found myself wondering if I might hire someone next time.

8ml walk this morning. I strained something a couple days ago moving stuff back into position in the refinished garage(yay, its done). Haven't been able to lift or bike. Hopefully recover by Sunday. Next, refinishing the kitchen chairs(oak) and prepping for DDs wedding

I bailed out my former employer today after a 7 month hiatus from work. The new guy I interviewed has quit.
After looking at what I had going and hearing about how much had to be done, I agreed to do it and it was fine.
My main man Sam was at the office and warming up the equipment when I got there at 630. We loaded up and hitched up, I ran for gravel and knocked it out in a few hours. I was parked by 1230 and on my way back to the new digs, picking my brother up in Poulsbo along the way. He had come down from Vancouver BC this morning. It timed out perfectly.
We took inventory and made a Costco run.

We had a neighbor woman out at the beach lot she was complaining about the little weeds sprouting up in the new gravel. I set her up with the weed burner and a striker and showed her how to use it. She had never done anything like that, and was quite pleased with that power.

Had my one month follow up with the sleep doctor. CPAP machine is a life changer and most likely a life saver! Prior I was having 65 "events" an hour. Now I'm down to averaging 1.4.
No more night sweats, middle of the night bathroom trips, and it solved my acid reflux/GERD issues. Took a bit getting used to, both the nose piece and the hose, but I haven't slept this good in years. Waking up refreshed, not groggy and sinuses are clear. Highly recommend.

Gave my 99th pint of blood to the Red Cross. I'm now doing genealogical research inside until it gets a little cooler outside. Then I'll go out to my garden to water.

What do you do with coyotes who are caught? Shoot them, burn them or bury them? I hate coyotes. We are overrun with them out here too.
