What did you do today 2026

I finished the great garden weeding operation early this morning. We were up in Maine for two weeks, and the weeds ran riot while we were gone. So I spent 4 hours this past Sunday morning weeding half of it. Then came two days of rain, and I spent another 3 hours this morning weeding the other half. Now I'm back to just a little maintenance weeding every time I go out there.

Last moving box unpacked. YES! I still need to do a Goodwill run but everything is sorted and ready to go.

I was going to start the Driver's License steps for my new state but realized I'm traveling next week. I know the first thing the MV bureau does is trash the license for your previous state and then print out a temporary paper version for your new state, which will probably not get me through the TSA. I have a passport but I'm also renting a car and don't know if a temporary paper license will suffice.

Looks like a task for when I get back.
I would have thought the same thing, but I just went through this last week, and the new state's DMV just handed me back the old state's license along with the paper copy of the new one.

If I were you, I'd just carry my passport -- there's nothing better for ID.

Client needed a desk w/power grommet, with lots of storage... But they only bought 5 pulls... Doh!

Got an offer on my house, which surprised me. It has only been on the market for a day and a half. 5% under my asking price, but a cash offer. Hoping it works out
Two rounds of counter-offers, and it's now a pending sale. Still only two days since listing, and just 7% under the asking price. The cool thing is that the agreed price is actually 7% over what I had expected to get, so another example of the value a good agent can bring to the table!

Had quick mtg with estate attorney to do a 5 year trust review and make a few small distribution changes, primarily upping the amount going to charity.

Wait, you said it was only 5% under the first time. How do you counteroffer twice and up lower than they said they would pay?

Good for YOU!!! I wish you the best and hope you get what you are after.

Today I went to the ranch went up into the hill and picked some berries. Really nothing relaxing then being in nature and listening to the sound and smell the smells of nature. A couple mile walk by the time I got back to the cabin and had lunch. Split a little more wood and headed home. A picture as I was heading into the ranch today.

Looks peaceful.

I was excited, so perhaps I confused things in how I worded it. Their original bid was 9% below my asking price.

In the words of one of our illustrious members here, numbers is hard.

Just ribbing you a little. Either way it's excellent news.
