What did you trade today and why?

First "trade(s)" in a while. Bought/added to GOF and JFR.

JFR still under 2.5% of Portfolio, while GOF has climbed to just over 4.5%.

Sold about 20% of my holding in TQQQ. It may still run a bit more and I'd miss out on the further gains, but I felt it was a good spot to sell. This turns 65% of my initial investment to cash, so I don't have much of the initial investment at risk. I'm now considering what level to establish to sell the next 20% of my holdings.

I put an indication of interest in for the Cerberus IPO. They make a big AI chip. It is 20x over subscribed so I probably won't be allocated any, but I wanted to practice before the SpaceX IPO.

It has been over 25 years since I asked for IPO shares. Reinforces my feeling that we are in the Dot Com 2.0 Bubble.
Well, I had to call a number to confirm my IPO request last night between 7pm and 12am. I forgot and my sump pump stopped working and I had to mop up water in basement, so I lost my chance to be allocated some shares. It was over subscribed, so I probably would not have gotten any anyway. But it would have been a good test to see if I might be able to get some SpaceX, which will probably have even more interest.

Sold 30% of PAXS, PDO and PFN. Looking at FOF for combo of income and cap gains. The Pimco funds have zero TR YTD per M*.
Good morning S-Dog, I own a good amount of FOF, as well as CEFS, each at 4.5% of my portfolio. FOF is a buy and hold in my portfolio for going on 5 years now. A few months ago I trimmed both back and took some gains on price appreciation due to their allocation of PMs. A couple of PIMCOs are in their top 10 holdings, so you get a little exposure in FOF. I DRIP both, but will also nibble extra here and there also.

Like you, I had asked for some shares in the Cerberus IPO at Fido. And, I remembered to confirm the indication of interest last night. However, at least so far, it looks like I won't be getting any. I didn't figure I would as google says it was oversubscribed by over 20x!

Opened new position in LOHA a new ETF that targets, in theory, stocks of companies that don't correlate to AI names. Aiming for a little diversification away from my GOOG, NVIDIA, AMZN names.

Been selling weekly QQQ bull spreads. Closed out 2 these today for 80% profit on the premium. Also been making quit a bit on my TQQQ ratchet strat. I am taking most of these trade off this week. All profits have been going into OVL. MU is up 49% MRVL up 11% AVGO up 17% SMH up 48% Time to start thinking about taking profits. I took some from MU but have been letting the rest run. Up 18% in the overall portfolio in the last 2 months. No sure it can keep cooking along like it is fingers crossed

DD is waiting for Anthropic to go public. She has a small bite of that business.

+ YYY add to position
Accepted Tender offer for a South Jersey Indust. bond at $92. Held this one for three years and average return was >11% annually, all inclusive. Still some meat on the bone at 92 but should do better than that 5.6% effective yield.

Started a position in NOW. Banking on McDermott (CEO) being right that everyone has it wrong on how AI will affect them. Not a huge position though.

Tried to catch the falling knife yesterday with a small purchase of PSEC. I still think it is over sold but, wasn't going to ride it down further. Earnings should cover the new div rate (for now) so maybe under $2.10 and a 3c div.

Didn't get the opportunity, but maybe today....

That 10 year is flying. If we're on the way to testing 5% could be more pain ahead which means more opportunities if patient. Something I struggle with.

If the 10 year gets to 5, the Fed won’t have to do a thing. The market will have done it for them. Just keep watching the VIX. It’s still only at 19. That’s a kiss your sister moment.

Wishing I had waited a bit on my GOF and JFR now. Looks like a pretty big hit to start the day.

Cheese, you still waiting for that VIX to hit 30 before buying?

Got lucky again and am sitting on a pile of cash. If we get anywhere near 5 on that 10 year I'm backing up the truck to buy fixed income. And of course my dividend etfs.
