What did you trade today and why?

Not yet, but Musk promised to build AI data centers in space, remember?
Yep. But data centers are simply tech. AI is a buzz word for everything these days. In those days, they were called server farms.

Data Centers In Space

I think you are underestimating the "in space" part here. This is something that has never been done before, so who knows if it will work and/or be profitable.

I guess when it comes to risky preferreds, I would rather own a fund or ETF, where risk is migrated across hundreds of issues, rather than owning a single issue.

Same when it comes to junk bonds. Why spin the wheel?

Sure. But it is just tech to me. I spent my career in tech. I am not questioning that whether it will be profitable or doable or not. That is besides the point.

So SpaceX has the contract to bring down the ISS. Another big event would be deflection of an asteroid. Can you imagine the contract they could get for launching 500 starship kinetic impactors? $100B? more?

Well, looks like I was way off base with my $350 prediction for SPCX.

I put a sell order in for 5% of my BPTRX position to start to compensate for the 400 SPCX shares I got today. I also had a 5% trailing stop loss trigger for my 30 SATS shares that I also planned to dump today.

I saw that two Japanese companies are shutting down production of tungsten hexaflouride, which is critical to chip making and hurts TSMC, samsung, hynix and MU. So I sold 5 shares of MU and 25 shares (33%) of EWY.

And speaking of low prices after IPO bump, a limit order for 5 shares of CBRS triggered, part of my slow DCA plan.

Not just the hardware, but Musk is going to use them to host Grok. He even talks about building his own AI chips.

Musk is going to take over the entire world, and the world means Earth, Moon, and Mars. :)

There was a book about colonizing Mars written by Wernher von Braun called "Project Mars: A Technical Tale" where the elected leader of Mars was called "the Elon."

If there is a huge asteroid about to hit earth and only Starship can stop it, Elon can be king of the earth. It will make being a trillionaire look like chump change :)

If Musk could solve the drought problem we have in the West, he would be king in my book.

No, I am not gonna go to the Moon or Mars. There's a lot of things these celestial bodies lack compared to Earth, not just water. Musk can go first, build civilization, and send a video to convince me.

Bought 20 Microsoft July calls this morning when it dipped and just sold them for $6,000 gain. Literally who needs to bother going to Vegas?
My 10 contracts are up $381, almost 7% :). My first foray into options since about 4 years when i bought some LEAPS on Palantir. That was not a good outcome - lost 95% of the investment. Just a few years too early.

SpaceX…the 5th Element, lol

It does make for an interesting scenario. What if SpaceX was the only company that had the capability to stop a 3km diameter asteroid from impacting earth via many thousands of Starship launches? Would the United Nations pony up the money?

Putting some money back into QLENX over the last while. It’s closing. People are selling. Sounds like a good contrarian play.
50 DMA has turned up and price remains above it's 200.
I kept a small position and will probably add back.

Thanks for your early posting about these funds.

I was studying ,my allocation tonight and discovered that over 50% of my 39% equity position is in five stocks.

The percent for TSLA and SPCX includes my estimated portion of BPTRX.

TSLA 24%
GOOG 9%
PLTR 8%
SPCX 6%
MU 5%

I probably will try to sell some BPTRX and maybe DCA into SPCX, effectively lowering my TSLA percentage.

I sold a little BPTRX tonight. It had already priced in the $135 IPO price, but went up 6% today anyway.
