Yes, absolutely. These have all been inexpensive and didn't need to call in a pro. Last year we had a major plumbing waste stack issue that involved 3 plumbers for 5 hours with no bathroom usage until they were done. Expensive and major inconvenience!Count your blessings that it's mechanical things and not medical. Both come in spurts, I hope yours is over.......
Same here! FrustratingSoftware updates! Arrrrgh! The last ios update to my phone a few days ago changed my email inbox without warning. I began to think that it was strange that I had not gotten some emails I expected. I finally figured out that my emails were being sorted into different categories (by AI?) and that I had to click through the different categories to see all my emails. Some of the classifications it chose made no sense. I actually missed several important emails because they were not in my "primary" inbox. I have now reset my inbox to "list view" so that I get everything in one place.
I was frustrated by that too. To change it back to the one list of emails:Same here! Frustrating
If you are anything like me, you’ll find them. Right after you purchase new ones!Being forced to buy multiples of products. I bought three little pump bottles to use with my AmLactin lotion. I am using one every day, and now I need the other two. Where the heck are they? I'll have to search the entire house to find them...
I agree, I was selling stuff and buying in 1997 - 1998 and it was a great site. I remember when you could leave feedback on an auction result even if you weren't part of it. LOL!Ebay. I am an original Ebayer (1995). I have seen a lot on that platform over the decades. Used to be no scams and very polite considerate participants. My biggest peeve now are sellers who will not give positive feedback to buyers until you have given them positive feedback first. They withhold it like a toddler.
You buy, you immediately pay. You should get positive feedback immediately as you have done your job. But nope, there is now a culture of withholding until the buyer posts it first.
This is a common debate in the community. The problem is sellers can ONLY give positive feedback to buyers, which makes the entire feedback system quite worthless. As a result, many sellers don't want to leave feedback until the transaction is complete, which I can understand. Sure, you've paid, but that's not the end of the story. If you get the item and then are a pain in the butt, claiming all sorts of things that aren't true about the item and demand a refund but refuse to return the item or whatever, you don't deserve positive feedback.Ebay. I no longer provide feedback. I think the last 15 items I sold only one person left feedback.Ebay. I am an original Ebayer (1995). I have seen a lot on that platform over the decades. As a buyer only, I always do and 99% of the time it's positive. There are still some of us out there!I no longer provide feedback. I think the last 15 items I sold only one person left feedback.
You are a rarity. Thank you for doing that. Seller feedback still matters even though buyer feedback is total nonsense. As a buyer only, I always do and 99% of the time it's positive. There are still some of us out there!
What's your opinion on copyright dates on the Superbowl, TV shows or movies that are in Roman numerals? The "Save" icon on a computer is a picture of a floppy disc, even though most younger people have no idea what they are.
Today's pet peeve is Doctors who wait until the last minute to tell you they collect payment before surgery. Getting my knee replaced on 2/5 and with a high deductible plan I never pay a bill without the EOB. Overpaid too many times and had to chase down a refund.
So now I'm in a game of chicken with the doctors office to see who blinks first. I offered to pay $1,000 today as a measure of good faith.
Some status and update to my issue. No, I need it, but knew they'd blink. We're less than a week from surgery. Worse case scenario is they call my bluff to cancel the procedure, then I'd pay it.
I guess we can add to the list of pet peeves is the current state of insurance company and doctor billing practices. I remember a day when that wasn't the case. Anyway, I thanked the clerk for advocating for me and the accommodation and promised to pay the bill as soon as the EOB was issued. All's well that ends well.
Oh yeah!Once I get to the actual office for my appointment the person at the front desk goes through the entire process with me standing there even though I did all these stuff online the day before, i.e. name, birthday, insurance, allergies, medications, pharmacy, etc.
