we gave up on that early on. too weird.
 
Gangs of London. Six international crime organizations have managed to co-exist until the head of the largest and richest one is murdered. The other 5 seek to take advantage of the now unstable alliances. The stories are easy to follow despite the large cast. It's binge worthy. It's violent - graphically violent. Sometimes people who were in the wrong place at the wrong time are killed. Released on AMC+. 9 episodes in the first season. Conversations among members of the same organization are subtitled.

ZeroZeroZero. Wow. It's large scale cocaine buying, selling, and transporting. The buyers are a group of rural Mafia Dons. The sellers are a Mexican cartel. The middleman is the head of a legitimate shipping company. He's long since earned the trust from both sides because he always does what he says he's going to do. In the first episode he dies of natural causes. Carefully made plans fall apart as some try to take advantage of his death. It's violent, but not as graphic as Gangs of London. Released on Amazon Prime Video. 8 episodes. Some subtitles.
 
Started watching Clarice on CBSnow. It picks up a couple years after the movie and is pretty good so far.
 
We just finished the 7th and final episode for season 1 of All Creatures Great and Small. We thoroughly enjoyed this and the scenery was beautiful.
 
Both on Acorn:

A 4-part limited British series called Run. Features Olivia Coleman and Lennie James, among others. Heartbreaking and moving stories.

A 3-part limited British series called Place of Execution. Very well done; had some unexpected twists, which are always a treat.
 
On Hulu:

I watched the movie Nomadland. It was very sobering, and Frances McDormand gave a wrenching performance.

I came away feeling extremely grateful for the stability and peace of mind I have at this stage in my life.

Same here, I especially liked the final episode. I understand there will be a second season but it will be delayed.

Maybe. The jury is till out for me. Although, I have to admit each episode (well e2 & e3) was better than the previous one.
 
Thanks to whomever it was that mentioned "Kim's Convenience". Finally something side-splittingly funny to enjoy.

I like her. She's a great actress. I don't know when I'll get to see this movie in Canada, but I will keep an eye out for it.

I have continued watching a terrific Spanish series Money Heist on Netflix. I prefer subtitles but you can choose English audio.
 
On Amazon.

I watched the series Tudor Monastery Farmer. Interesting history and I enjoyed watching what they raised, cooked and ate just before the reformation in England.
 
I have watched 3 great series in the last month (too much time at home). They are;

Keiler Street - Norwegian series where various people with shady pasts are given new identities but put together in the same street in a small town in Norway where there has not been a serious crime since the 1950s. You can imagine what starts to happen.

Stella Blomqvist - Icelandic series about a sassy young female lawyer who gets involved in politics and crime in Iceland with an interesting Chinese twist.

False Flag - 2 seasons. An Israeli series where supposed terrorist attacks are not really what they seem. I got really addicted to this series.
