What next up the risk/return spectrum from money market?

My spouse just noticed that our dry powder is nearly 25% of our total assets.

I don't feel rushed to buy a diversified array of bonds yet, but we don't like seeing so much money just sitting in our money market funds (we use SPAXX and FZEXX).

What the next step up in terms of risk/return? Treasury bills maybe?
