What was your happiest moment today?

I'd like to learn how to play pickleball - haven't done it yet. I can't believe they're now covering pickleball as a spin-off on the tennis channel!
Try it. It is a lot of fun. If you have any background in Tennis, Racquetball or Ping Pong, it will be a reasonable transition.
Even if you are not athletically inclined, you can have fun. It is easy to play, hard to master.
I play at a high level and also teach it and many folks who never played competitive sports catch on.

Beautiful sunny morning, cool breeze, great coffee.
Have an acupuncture appointment this afternoon and will see DS and DGS tonight.

A beautiful morning bike ride and will be working on a used utility trailer I bought yesterday. I have a Paddlefish steak thawing out for a noon grilled slab of fish.

Life is great never know what tomorrow will bring.

Having the tree blown over from last week’s storm cut up and carried away.

When DW’s urologist told me removing the bottom half of her right kidney with encapsulated tumor had gone perfectly, and DW had tolerated the surgery very well! I’ll see her in recovery in 1-2 hours.
I’m so glad it went well. I wish her a speedy recovery!

Long day, but DW is doing very well. I was impressed when she got in her hospital room and switched from the gurney to her bed on her own, with coaching from the nurse.

Today, DW and I finished canning a bushel of beans. My happiest moment was when the last batch finished. Combined with the lids popping on all the quarts in the last batch (signifying they sealed). It was a lot of work over the past couple days but we did well.

Floating in the base indoor pool and getting a little exercise to ease the arthritis. Nice to get the pressure off the joints. I also get to watch the military go through rescue training and seeing the children at the shallow end learning how to swim.

Woke up early with the better-half and went paddle boarding down on the lake. The water was so calm that we could see fish swimming around rocks on the bottom. Barely a ripple.

All day today it was dreary, with heavy rain showers off and on. After a routine medical checkup, I stopped by the library to pick up three books I had put on hold. I visited the library's new coffee stand to buy a hot chocolate, topped by whipped cream and something called "chocolate drizzle."

Sitting in the big comfy library chair five minutes later, surrounded by my new books, sipping on the hot chocolate and watching the rain fall through the soaring two-story windows, I felt absolutely at peace.

Life doesn't get any better than this.

Libraries are one of my all time favorite places. Ours has just introduced free book delivery and return to your home. Since 2019 I have been using their digital system to read books on my tablet.

Sunny morning, good coffee, on the forum, pup in my lap.
Nice start of the day!

That's a wonderful service! Both of the local libraries I belong to provide the same delivery service.

Our pool got installed on Wednesday. Filled with water now and ready to turn on the pump today.
But even better than that, our daughter closed on her first house this morning so we get to help her move in and get setup. Busy but happy times!

Enjoying some fantastic weather this weekend in the Hudson Valley. Hit the Deli for a breakfast sandwich/coffee and took an early morning ride on the river. Saw a magnificent mature Eagle on a piling as I exited the marina.

I talked with my brother today. His condo got flooded by broken sprinkler lines in the unit above, and it has been months getting sorted out. They have moved from one temporary Airbnb to another and then the wrong cabinets showed up and kicked the schedule down the road again.
He was talking to some of his nice neighbors, and long story short, they offered their condo to them since they are going to California for two months! It brought tears to his eyes. He needed a break and this is great. I can't wait to meet his neighbors and thank them too.

We watched the Grands (B & G) last night, while our youngest daughter went on a date night & concert. Waking up and watching them be cute was a simple joy.

BTW, the boy is closing on on 2 and is in the important reciprocity stage of development, so I went down the rabbit hole and shared videos with extended family. So much of their critical development is before they turn 4.

So yes, it was a Jimmy V great day.

My very frail, stage 4 cancer-ridden wife went out to lunch with friends last week and came down with Covid a few days later (again). It was pretty bad for a while, but she woke up this morning feeling much, much better. Lots to be grateful for today.

Went to lunch with my family and "adopted" mother after church today. I had not seen her for a few years. It was great to catch up with her. She is such a wonderful woman and so much fun.

Wow! Fantastic! I totally understand, Latexman - my DW had a similar situation in her own life. What a joyous feeling!
