I'm 53 and am still working full time and take a nap for 30 minutes or an hour every day. I have a meeting placed on my calendar and use that. I don't take lunch, so works out well. I can't wait to retire so I can bump it up to 90 minutes.
My dad took a 1-2 hour nap every afternoon for as long as I can remember. He only made to 103 so about 20 years ago decided to follow the obviously sage example.
I’m 64 and I rarely nap...maybe once or twice a year.
Mostly because I don’t wake up till hours have passed and that becomes disruptive.
Plus I do continue to work part time as a therapist and there are acute demands during these virus challenged times. So part time has morphed into a hodgepodge nearly full time schedule.
So....going to have to slow down one of these days, lol
66 YO, RE for 10 years, up daily between 330 & 4am. I work out hard for a couple hours daily, then run out of gas around noon and try to nap for an hour. Half the time I end up just reading for awhile, but that’s fine. That hour of calm, asleep or not, is sacrosanct. Never miss it.
