Yahoo Finance home page has changed to some "new and improved" version. I like the old look, but the button to "Back to classic Yahoo Finance" doesn't do anything. Tried on 3 different browsers. Anyone else not able to use classic yahoo finance?

I don't see the button anymore either. I think it was only for a little while, as people were getting used to the new format, which I don't particularly care for.

I still have the button near the upper right part of screen, it just doesn't do anything when you click on it. Just sits there mocking me.

They've been warning us about this. Unfortunately I think our time has finally arrived. I've hit the button and it doesn't do anything for me either. I've already been banned from yahoo comment posting. This might be the last straw for me.

Just like lawmakers must make new laws, website developers must make "improvements!" :)
That’s how the web developers and software engineers stay employed. Let’s make it better, tinker with it for months then roll it out. Evaluate it for months then decide they need to make some changes. Then they take months make the new changes and evaluate them. Endless cycle which results in employment and sites that are easy for the developers to use, but for us mere mortals it becomes very cumbersome and difficult to navigate. My wife and I call it to better serve you.

As a former contract software test engineer at a megacorp in Washington 20 yrs ago, that sounds about right :) Perhaps a button that says "if you liked it the way it was and are over 65, click here". Old(er) people are set in their ways and don't appreciate change. Kind of like when Costco/Walmart rearranges all the aisles :)

Ouch! That hits way too close to home

It is not just their finance page... Yahoo home page is also being updated...

It has a huge flaw on my tablet... it populates the page and then puts the cursor in the question box which pops up my keyboard... it did not do this before... very annoying..

OH, and do not hit that X that pops up... it just takes you back to the previous page...

The new page is difficult to scan. I do most everything on my iPad. I liked the list of major indexes across the top. Now it’s along the side. The layout for the articles is horrible at the best. On my iPad it looks like they tried to cram as many articles as possible into the smallest space.

Yahoo is a dumpster fire now. Their AI bot rejects comments even if you only use words they include in the article they publish. The list of questionable words is probably larger than some compact dictionaries.

We had an Admin who used to whine about the temperature in the office. The boss got tired of hearing her, so he had a thermostat attached to the wall right by her desk. It wasn't connected to anything, but she could change it to her hearts content. It seemed to satisfy her.

I just tried it and the button is switching me back and forth from old to new and back -- at least a few minutes ago it was.

I prefer the old. OTOH if the new is the only one I ever used I would probably be OK with it.

Went there this morning and I have the old page back. I guess the software developers have a few more months of tinkering!

That's hilarious!

Have you tried the Yahoo Finance app?
Yes, I have the app on my phone, but prefer using my laptop when at home.

Thanks! Just checked and the old page is back for me.

I was frustrated by this when I was not logged in. I find that I can switch while logged in.

Welp, so much for that. I just changed to the new one and don't have a button to revert to the old one! A great example of "if it ain't broke don't fix it"!

So I found on a Reddit thread that the Canadian version of Yahoo Finance is still the "classic" view.
Problem is, the news stories are Canadian based. Everything I've seen, people hate the new version. Great job Yahoo!

I too, prefer the old look of Yahoo Finance. I was able to switch back to the "classic" version using that button for about a month or so, but no more.

The new look is too busy, too many things packed onto the screen. There is certainly more information, but harder to find the things I want to read.

Also, there is more information on the individual quote pages but I will have to retrain myself on how to get around and find it. The menu on the left side of the screen is the key but now to find analyst's earnings estimates it takes at least on more mouse click and one more screen needs to load before you reach the information. Same thing with finding real time quote prices of the top ten holdings of a mutual fund, or just about anything.

TLDR: More information, takes longer to find what you want to see.
