Hello everyone! I am preparing to try to negotiate a favorable early retirement package due to some health issues that have recently worsened. Very worried about maintaining insurance coverage due to preexisting conditions. Also, want to relocate at the time of or soon after retirement. Any good advice would be appreciated. Hoping to be able to enjoy a few retirement years while health is not degenerating too much.

You should be able to continue with your employer plan (assuming you have one) for the rest of 2013 under COBRA, but it can be expensive. Your company should be able to provide rates.

For 2014 and beyond, if you are eligible for Obamacare HI policies they are guaranteed issue and are not affected by pre-existing conditions.
