Hi everyone. I'm 29 and live in Indiana. I've been working for about 7 years as a mechanical engineer involved in building systems and energy efficiency.

I have been thinking and learning as much as I can about saving for finanical indenpence and stumbled across this forum a few weeks ago. The knowledge and insight on this board are simply amazing and I have learned a lot just reading the posts in my spare time.

Just wanted to check in and thank everyone for their contributions before I start posting some thoughts and questions of my own!
