Amazon free shipping throw-ins

Curious = what do my fellow non-prime members usually throw into their Amazon cart to cross the free shipping threshold?

Our standard move used to be canned cat food, but now that we're cat-less I usually find some sort of consumable with a long shelf life that I know I'll eventually work my way through. Most common are probably economy sized package of dishwasher soap packets or laundry detergent.

Anyone else do this? What do you usually add?

Fish tank filters, sweet potato dog chews, a DVD, fridge water filters..... There is always something.

And I use smile dot amazon to benefit my favorite beagle rescue charity.

Usually another book or some (relatively) inexpensive bit of photo gear if sold by Amazon.

I keep a wish list there, many are items that I will probably never actually buy, but that's why they call it a "wish list". If there's a small item there I'll get that.

Timely thread since I needed to fill out an order and could use a USB mini hub which I wouldn't have thought of until later.

I'd look at consumables that you are going to use anyway. Toiletries, shampoo, cleaning products.

Whenever I cash in credit card rewards points I opt for amazon gift cards. I usually have about a $100 in credit in my account at any given time. Maybe that is why I love amazon so much!

I mostly buy books but occasionally sporting or outdoor gear. Or baking supplies.

I keep about 5 different wish lists on different subjects so never have a shortage of 5-10 dollar items to add in (though usually it ends up being a book).

Ooh good one. They do have fishing stuff that tends to need regular refill like sinkers, swivels, powerbait, etc.
