Backup iPod playlists

Here's my question. I have many songs on my iPod and would like to backup a Playlist (the actual songs not just the listing of songs) to a thumb drive. Is there any way to do this in Windows 10? When I click on the iPod under the Windows file manager, it does not even show any files. I searched and there seems to be some free downloads that say they will allow you to do what I want. Has anybody tried these?
I want to have these songs readily available as it would take a great deal of time to recreate the Playlist.

When I plug my iPod into a USB port on my Windows 7 computer it is connected as a drive. I can see all the files.

Perhaps your Windows File Manager settings for that folder need to be changed?

Select the songs in iTunes and drag to your stick.

if you open "file explorer - the thing that looks like a manila folder".

Select This PC/Local Drive C/Users/Yourname/Music/ITunes/ITunes media/Music

That should get you there. There is also an option in ITunes to show you where the music is stored there.

Then copy it to you USB, make the USB is large enough
