Hmmmm

Looks like an up scale version of what we call party boats or barges down here. The little ones in the 20 -30 foot class often just have awnings - built in wet bar of course. Aluminum pontoons and outbords on up to I/O units for the big enclosed cabin jobs.

Understand Lake Powell out Nev. way has some big versions that are popular also.

I vaguely remember - Decatur, AL had one of the biggest 'houseboat' dealers in the nation in the 70's - at least that's what their tv ad's claimed when I lived in Huntsville.

Sorry for the tiny pictures... Guess I shouldn't shoot at hi-res!

Houseboat was ~45x14, with 1.5 baths, 4BR, full kitchen, and LR.

Consumed: about 300 beers, one jug homemade wine, one liter Dr. McGillacutty's peppermint schnapps (aka "the Dr.), one liter of rum, one liter of Jim Beam, various and sundry headache and stomach remedies, a pork tenderloin, a beef tenderloin, several yardbirds...

Hits of the 70s, Redneck Comedy tour, Tracy Lords, and Texas Hold 'Em.......

A bit of Americana I couldn't pass up...

Oh yeah! - but, but, but - didya have 'renecks, whitesox's and Blue Ribbon Beer' by Johnny Russell.

Couldn't eat boiled crawfish without that - when I was younger.

Heh, heh, heh.

Do you guys have a Coast Guard in your time zone?!? This reminds me why I didn't buy a boat after I gave up submarines...

We were parked most of the time, but your point is well taken...

None whatsoever!!!  8)

I think the point of the schnapps was to increase the likelihood of projectile hurling...
