I've put up another pair of contradictory proverbs in a poll on this frozen day in the Midwest and Northeast. What's your general approach?

Explanation below.

I am a collector of contradictory paired proverbs. As the final proverb in a book of proverbs given to me long ago by my mother said, "Proverbs contradict each other. That is the wisdom of mankind."

So I'm going to try setting up a poll for some of my favorites. I'm not giving that weaselly third option, "They're BOTH right" because I'm not asking for an eternal truth, just the approach you normally opt for.

**Besides, this little exercise of mine has led me to an eternal truth that I am uncomfortable with: the sum of human wisdom may be found in two word - It depends ...

One does accumulate many tools if you acquire "the right tool".
