Anyone have any first hand experience " shipping" a car from east to west? Our BMW is almost new, and in mint condition. Anyone have an idea on the best way to get the car to the west coast, I have done some research and am thinking " covered " car carrier is the way to go? We also have a Honda that we will drive.
Any insight is appreciated!

I shipped a Ford Taurus from Detroit to Stockton for $800 back in 2007. It was an open carrier and it was picked up at my father's house and delivered to my house.

get a bid on uship - they have covered shipping

I shipped 3 vehicles from houston to idaho in 2011 - no issues

Hi RobbieB
Thanks for the info. Did you experience any damage? I am specifically worried about rocks, road debris etc with an open carrier?
Thx

Car arrived looking the same as when it was picked up.

Be aware there are some real idiots who do this. One guy doubled his bid to drive through 30 miles of mountains.
