Defensive Driver Discount

It's time for me to renew my DD credit for my 10% auto insurance discount. Texas gives me a 10% discount if I take a 6 hour online course every 3 years. The cost is $25, but the annual savings is about $40 for a total of about $120.

LBYM says I should continue to take advantage of the easy to obtain discount. I guess I will.

I did in Florida (Ohio's discount is not worth the effort) and it was really a pretty short course and it was worth it. I have USAA and they did not question just gave me the credit on the current policy (pro-rated).

I also did it in Florida but can't get DW to take the course.

my state only gives and insurance companies only accept 8 hour clasroom courses.

I wish Hawaii had a defensive driving program, let alone an insurance discount...

Luckily, I have been able to get DW to also take the course, so our annual savings is really about $80.
