ER limericks

A few years back there was a ER haiku thread.
http://www.early-retirement.org/forums/f27/er-haiku-any-takers-47371.html

Time to mix it up a bit...

Chained at his desk sits Harry
Stuck because retirement seems scary
There's plenty of treasure
He's ready for leisure
Dear wife is the one who is wary
[/INDENT]Hopefully the mods won't have to intervene...

Harry rhymes two or three times a day
Hard at work though he is, still he plays
and with FIRE in his sights
he takes great delight
at crafting poetic essays.

You're overlooking the possibility she's really lousy at writing limericks?

I did overlook that--completely. However, given the link above, Meadbh is pronounced "Mave". Which does rhyme pretty well with "save".

Turns out, I've been mispronouncing "Meadbh" in my head for many years.

You're welcome!

I grew up not far from County Limerick, so I should be able to put one together!

FIREd retired in San Francisco
gone are the suits and the large ego
live simply
and be happy
is what he chose as a life motto

Alternate ending:

FIREd retired in San Francisco
gone are the suits and the large ego
live simply
and be happy
but don't smoke the oregano.
;)

This is the 2nd limerick I ever wrote.

NW-Bound prepped his RV
Headed for Quebec City
Portfolio drops in the loo
He says "Je m'en fous"
You can bet your sweet bippy
