Electric car maker Fisker is having a rough time according to an article in the WSJ. Low gas prices and poor quality seem to be a problem if the article is correct. Time will tell.

The Fisker showroom in my neighborhood closed down a few months ago.

It really was, in my mind a dud.
They would have been better off just making in a typical internal combustion engine driven car.
Stunningly beautiful car but it was a case of style over engineering.
They tried to make it 'environmentally friendly'. But it only got about 20mpg and a horrid 1.5 miles/kWh (the Leaf is around 4miles/kWh).

Then on top of that you add bad luck and poor business management...

Fisker may be ok now that they're going to use corvette engines

That isn't Fisker though, it is a third party buying Fisker shells.
This income will help, but there are only about 1000 Fisker bodies left.
Even if they are getting 50k for each, and sell all of them, that is only 50 Million. Their debt to the DOE is 148 Million and they haven't been building anything since last June or so.
