All the major manufacturers make excellent equipment, usually it just comes down to finding something that looks and feels right for you. I'm not really brand loyal except when it comes to irons (Pings), my irons are custom fit for me and standard off the shelf irons just don't work for me.

I'm thinking about replacing my irons this year also. I've had the AP-2s since they first came out. I like them, it's just that they are looking a little rough.

Everything the same except I've got Cobra hybrids, 2-3 and 4-5.

3.6 index.

I keep the nickent 2H cause I hit it well and I got an ace with it

Aced 7 at Memorial Park GC (Houston) in 2009 with it - haven't had one since - I'm due

I couldn't pass up the cobra baffler iron/hybrid deal for $249 shipped. Going to give those a try this year.

Adams Golf Speedline FAST 12 woods (3,5)
Adams Golf IDEA a12 OS hybrids (4,5,6)
Adams Golf IDEA a12 OS irons (7,8,9,P,G,S,L)
Odyssey White Ice 2-Ball putter

All graphite shafts, regular stiffness. I like these clubs. I'm a mid handicapper. When I make good contact they go well but they are also very forgiving... if I mis-hit them quite often I end up with a "good miss".

I bought them all except the lob wedge when I retired and bought the lob wedge online a little later to complete the set.

Adams IDEA hybrid irons
Cleveland sand wedge
knock-off driver and 3-wood
knock-off putter

I got the Adams irons on sale (previous year's model) and paid next to nothing for the knock-offs as my friend's father builds clubs as a hobby. All in, maybe $450.
