H R Block Never Get Rich But Not Bad

Been at it for 3 years part time. Evenings and some weekends. Like a lot of others I took the course to feel better about my own tax prep. Enjoyed the class and started seasonal work. Avg about 10K for Jan-April Evening and weekend activity. Would make more if I was retired and worked days. Key is to build a client base and condition them to drop off their returns to work on when no walk in clients are around.

You will put in a lot of non-paid hrs to improve your skills during the summer, but the continuing courses are relatively free and worth the time investment.

Only turn off is corporate marketing campaigns that put you in a selling vs. professional tax role. Best to just stay busy with clients.

Nice way to earn property tax money.
