May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.:D

Lá fhéile Pádraig sona dhaoibh go léir!

Just came home from a St Patricks party. Love being retired.

Boiled me a corned beef brisket last Thursday and chilled it.

Ran it through the meat slicer yesterday and Kelly and I had CB on Jewish Rye.

I had another tonight and a little bag left in the fridge for tomorrow.

Gonna have a Bailey's and go to bed.

Happy St. Patty's!

I have just decided that I am going to plan a nice trip to Ireland the year after I retire. My father took me when I was 14, and I loved everything about it, although our time was spent touring the countryside, not the cities. Something to look forward to!

No Irish heritage, but we always do some corned beef. Missed it this year. The stores were all sold out. So, I am going to cook NY steaks, and steam a couple of pounds of stone crab claws today to do a late celebration.

My DH made corned beef etc and we are having people over for dinner today. Yesterday we went to a few Irish bars for dinner, drinks and music. Fun weekend:))

Once I went to St Patrick's Day celebration in South Boston, aka "Southie".
It was appalling. I won't detail the crap I observed, but for sure I never attended again.
I do like pipes though. Talk about effective martial music!

Ha

I avoid the drunk and belligerent, so that rules out Southie celebrations of any sort.

Irish pipes have nothing on Scottish pipes - now there's a sound that puts fear into the hearts and water into the bowels of foes.
