Anyone in here tried one of these? My wife got me one and I have about an hour total over 6-7 separate rides; pretty cool feeling; and it didn't catch fire so I must be doing it right...

The hardwood floor is the easiest, but rugs get harder. If I take it outside, I think motocross gear might be in order. Not many flat pavements where I live.

I watch the guy at the mall demonstrating them everytime I go walking there. They look like fun but I don't know where I'd ever use one.
I think I'd wear at least a bike helmet.

Perhaps an excuse to wear full football pads and helmet as well as gloves.

I think I'd make myself or kids dress in the gear they wear for skateboarding: helmet, wrist guard, elbow and knee pads. (And yes- they still get injured with this gear - but no broken bones.... That happens in baseball and basketball. sigh.)
