Khan, it is funny you posted that--I am a hopeless listmaker and keeper of old records, and I came across a goal list I made back in 1998 the other day. There were smarty pants additions across the bottom of each season's list of planned chores, plus an editorial commentary on the back.
I showed it to my DH to offer up some criticism of his editorializing, and he looked sad for a moment and then told me it wasn't his writing, it was that of a dear old friend who used to stay with us all the time back then. That old friend died this April of an aneurisym at 52.
The editorial comment: Enjoy Life, Sail Boat, Drink Beer, Live life as it was meant
I treasure it and will try to remember our old friend's words when the days get to wearing on me.
