Nice car, enjoy it while you can: A world of difference - May. 21, 2008

Will there always be a place for a muscle car? I lived my Pontiac GTO which I got cheap & banged up many, many years ago. Just ran it and had fun. I would love to get an interesting pre 1976 car (because of CA emissions) just for fun.

Oh goody, an excuse to post a car pic. I just washed mine and took her for a spin up the road next to the river.

It gets washed more than once a year, but its really just a quick spray and wipe off the dust.

There's two kinds of people who own old cars: drivers and polishers. Doesn't look like you polish much, do you drive it and if so, how much?

FWIW, my 2 toys that only get driven when there's no snow & ice (and here that's April thru October in a good year) rack up about 4,000 miles each.

One's my avatar, the other is here:

I dont polish at all really....im too lazy to be picky about my car. But out of curiosity, what does a 'polished' car look like? I can see my eye colorin the reflection of mycar,i figured that was good enough!lol

i drive it about 20 miles/week....hard though...burnouts, 0-60 on the highway, maybe go to the drag strip, drop it into 2nd going 50 or so and enjoy the torque etc... I'm constantly amazed by the power.

You sound like a driver. Light up the rubber, good on ya, I like to make my '05 Mustang GT act like a '69 (driven by a '49) model. As you can tell from the pics my old wheels don't spin.
