Highly recommended if you visit Asheville, NC, we took the Segway Tour of Arboretum. Got a nice safety and training session on Segway, to which you become acclimated very quickly, then a great three-hour scoot through forest trails. These Segways were outfitted with off-road tires for wilderness trekking.

The Segway was amazing, and a great way to cover alot of distance throughout the tour. Would have been an all-day hike (but that would have been nice too, and have provided a level of fitness that this did not).

Really great fun and will worth the $45/pp for three hour excursion. Highly recommended.

I was just there a few weeks ago and saw the Segways being used. Pretty neat! I almost asked to borrow one before I realized the folks were on a paid tour.

FYI, the NC Arboretum has a very nice collection of bonsai trees on display - maybe 50-100. That was the highlight of my Asheville trip (better than the Biltmore house).
