St. Louis Attractions Suggestions

Any suggestions for things to do in St. Louis (besides the Anheuser-Busch brewery tour, of course)?

Go up in the arch, if still possible, then rent a car and head SW to Branson.  The Christmas season is quite  awesome.
Maybe you could check a couple of houses for me?? :D

I haven't lived near St. Louis for a long time, so you might want to check and make sure this stuff still exists.

Grant's Farm is nice -- but not this time of year. St. Louis had a nice zoo and reasonable art museum. Go down to the river front in the evening. There were a number of riverboats that offered some sort of entertainment. They used to have some decent music, but it's been a long time since I've visited there. You may want to bring your trombone. And don't forget the arch. :)

You can still go up in the arch.  I would visit the Clayton area, which is kind of like St. Lou's twin city within the city (it has its own skyline).  Lots of nice places to eat + historical homes.  Traffic kind of sucks but it is worth it and you are from Cali so it might be a breeze for you.  I am pretty sure it is close to Wash U or the "U" part of town which is kind of the trendy area.  Volunteer to be BUD's lab rat.

Isle of Capri is probably the best casino in the area if you feel lucky.

A trip to the top of the Arch and visit to the museum of Westward Expansion at  the botton of the Arch is a nice tour. The best thing about the AB brewery tour is the free beer at the end of the tour. Grants Farm isn't open in November. If the weather is nice visit the St. Louis zoo, admission is free. You do have to pay to park. Visit the Hill neighborhood, at Kingshighway and Interstate 44. Great Italian restaurants. For some St.Louis food try the thin crust pizza, toasted ravioli, and goey butter cake. If it's not too cold go to Ted Drewes for frozen custard.

Forgot to add in my earlier message, if you like to gamble St. Louis has 5 casinos. The President is on the St. Louis riverfront, the Casino Queen and Alton Belle are in Illinois. Harrahs is in Maryland Heights and Ameristar in St Charles MO.

Al,
Put your wallet in your jock and go down to the "Landing" riverfront area adjacent to the arch.
Dueling Piano Bar called the Big Bang. If you are the least bit musical, you can be a star there.
If you are not as adventuresome, there is a Bowling Museum.
