Where do all of these creeps come from? I assume that this is not an occurance of only today. These perverts have probably been with us forever, but communication is just better today.

I tend to become very upset when I read daily of the antics of this kind of low life. What to do?

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — A spokesman for the state agency that oversees the welfare of children was arrested Friday on charges that he solicited minors, at least one of whom may have been in state custody, to create pornography, authorities said.
Al Zimmerman of the state Department of Children & Families has been fired, agency officials said. The 40-year-old was charged with eight counts of using a child in a sexual performance and faces up to 120 years in prison if convicted of all charges.

mickeyd- These sorts of things are totally disgusting. And, yes, they probably have been going on since the beginning of time.

I, for one, think that this sort of pederasty/pedophilia is incurable. If I ruled the world, these sorts of people would be executed to stop their DNA from polluting the gene pool.

Think of how many times you have read about yet another arrest for a serial child molester. It just doesn't stop and we really have to sequester these people from the rest of humanity, one way or another. My way is the most cost-effective.

Here is a national register of registered offenders that live in any neighborhood..plug in your address and they should come up..maybe if this is done more often by everyone these people will be more closely watched of course if there not registered well....

I did some volunteer work on a teenager help line. They explained that it is not too difficult to understand why a person who is attracted to children work in jobs that comes in contact with them in a position of authority. If you are an alcoholic you hang around places and people where you can find alcohol. If you are a single adult looking for a partner you go to places where you are likely to find other single adults.

Adults who in the normal course of their jobs that come into contact with children need to be screened. That includes - teachers, doctors, social workers, police, fire etc.

So I'm not surprised at all.

I'm no expert but, I agree that pedophilia is incurable; just as hetersexuality is incurable. But, maybe pedophilia can be controled but I doubt it.

I check my local town website every 6 months for these lowlife sex offenders.

They show a picture, where they live, and their offense.

At least I know who they are if I see them approaching my kid or any other kid in my community. God help them if I ever do.

One detective had a repeat offender pedophile explain it to him, when the detective was discussing treatment:

Pedophile: "You find women attractive, right?"

Detective: "Generally, yes."

Pedophile: "How much treatment do you think it would take so that you would not find women attractive?"

That puts it in a whole different light.
